Here are the steel power poles that some people have just inside their property boundary and they connect to the public poles on the street. Private Poles are needed for a variety of reasons to connect the supply or service cables from the service pole on the street to the Point Of Attachment on your home. We usually need to install them because your service or supply cables are crossing
over your neighbour’s property line. This is no longer allowed (even though it used to be and there are thousands of them still like this) but if you get any work done to your electrical system, you will need to rectify this defect. Luckily Sparky Nearby can help by installing a new private pole at the front of your property and then running a new consumer mains cable underground, or overhead through the air to your main switchboard.
